Chris Christie's positive statements about Obama on several television interviews yesterday:

What Christie did was inoculate Obama from whatever minor screw-ups that take place in the next week. There will be a failure to get resources somewhere, which is inevitable in situations following a huge storm, but Christie's grand statement of praise speaks to the larger view.

Christie also undercuts Romney's persistent charge that Obama isn't a leader. What does a leader do? One thing is help expedite lower-level agencies and set them on the right path. Christie said that's what Obama did.

Right wing radio is countering by bringing up Benghazi: If he's so on the ball with Sandy, why did he mess up with Benghazi. That's not going to work with constant pictures of flooded subways, downed trees, boats on dry land, and damage along the shore. The visuals - and there are literally millions of them - will be the focus by the media for quite some time.

Both Christie and Obama demonstrated "leadership" in action, on the ground, in response to hurricane Sandy, whereas R-MONEY/R-AYN 2012 "mouth" the word "leadership" endlessly, without demonstrable facts.

FEMA and the Federal Government are utterly incapable of bursting into action. It takes them weeks to wake up, much less begin the process of doing anything.

Seems to me that Christie introduced Obama to his constituents as the fellow who will be responsible for making things better before the election. Come Monday, when people and their families have been cold, jobless, homeless, hungry and miserable for a week, and neither FEMA nor those "low level agencies" have done jack shit for them, we'll see how the new love affair is going.

That's why he's building up high hopes and pointing to Obama and the Federal government.

jms seems to be nibbling on a "Brownie" laced with the "Heck of a job, Brownie" infamy endorsement by George W. Bush, who several years later in 2008 gave us the Bush/Cheney Great Recession, a man-made disaster. We all know that the devastation cannot be corrected that quickly, but an early start is preferable to Brownie's late and incompetent one. And just what would R-MONEY/R-AYN 2012 do, besides package some cans in Ohio to ship to New Jersey? Based upon Mitt and the Randy guy's past statements, that's just about all their base would permit.

This is not a love affair; its REALITY!

JMS: incapable of bursting into action? GOP heart throb Brownie (of Katrina fame) criticized Obama for revving up FEMA too early. You need to coordinate with wingnut central before commenting. Get with the program! LOL!

As for Christie: If Christie wants to run for president in 2016, he needs to run in an open election (i.e. no noncombat). That is only possible if Obama is re-elected. Also, Christie is a moderate Republican and they all seem to be endorsing Obama. This would also explain Christie's bizarre convention speech.

As for Q joining the right-wing noise squad over Benghazi: I remember that we weren't at war with East Asia but with Eurasia. The day Obama had the press in the Rose Garden. He was definitely speaking about Benghazi when he talked about terrorist. Just because our UN rep has her head up her ass does not mean that Obama covering-up. I challenge anyone to make a time-lien of every statement Obama has made regarding Benghazi and find any false statement. There is still a lot of facts unknown. Cool and calm Obama is going to wait for the facts before he opens his pie hole. Today, Alaskan ubercunt Maclusky tried to goad Obama into spilling more information for the express purpose of later calling him on it if it turns out to be false. That whine Arizona dick McCain has been hamming away too. Because they are obviously not stoking him enough.

The quality of jms's trolling in recent months has dropped precipitously, as has the frequency. It doesn't matter anyway, since most of what he writes reeks of incoherence. He copies and pastes stale GOP talking points and tries to pass them off as original thought. This is what happens when one lets Rush, Hannity and Beck do his thinking for him.
