The class war:

May have started this week in Wisconsin. Looks to be a huge fight that could go national ant last months. The winner is not obvious.

The current class war has been underway since Reagan's time. What's new is the middle class is starting to realize that fact and discovering the need to fight back.

Mark, my sentiments exactly. You beat me to it.

No more turning the other cheek. The bottom is fighting back. I hope it's not a flash in the pan but the start of a full-on counter assault.

But what are the two sides? They appear, to me, to be government union workers, with high wages, job security, benefits and pensions, and everyone else, with declining wages, no job security, no benefits, no pension, and a Social Security system that is not going to support them in retirement.

Who is supposed to be envying whom? How is this class envy thing supposed to work?
