Who likes this?

Obama on 60 minutes:
“Part of my promise to the American people when I was elected was to maintain the kind of tone that says we can disagree without being disagreeable. And I think over the course of two years, there have been times where I’ve slipped on that commitment.”
That's certainly not the in spirit of Harry Truman.

If you are a Democrat or a Republican, and your guy is president and says that, would you be happy?

The good thing about your information is that it is explicit enough for students to grasp. Thanks for your efforts in spreading academic knowledge.

obama spent the whole time apologizing for being. for even drawing breath. what good is a bully pulpit if he refuses to put it to effective use?

these interviews are too focused on personality when what is needed is hard data.

would it kill this white
house to require cbs and other networks as a condition of granting an interview that they include some bar graphs or pie charts to provide some data that draws a stark contrast between the bush era and the current one. for example: a chart that demonstrates bush having accrued the most debt than any other previous president - that would have been useful. not enough people know this. and another one that shows the rate of job loss decreasing.

data that obama then could use as a foundation to build upon and flesh out more of a story.

otherwise he's floundering in sand.
