World Series:

Good to see George W. Bush on camera so many times during the Texas home games. Never hurts to remind people about the guy, especially just before an election.

Keep in mind that George W. got his financial "stake" to enter politics as a result of the largess of other owners of the Texas Rangers, about $14 Million as I recall. His oil wells went dry and he was bailed out by Daddy's friends. But his stay with the Rangers, including it's stadium funded by taxpayers, provided the financial means leading to his "election" 5-4 by SCOTUS (Bush v. Gore, 2000) as President, begetting America 8 years of Bush/Cheney. So perhaps baseball is more than a game. GO GIANTS!

Makes people like jms swoon with ecstasy to see old man Bush and the Shrub on the mound at Arlington. I'd love to see the Giants wrap up the series tonight in Texas.

Imagine Nancy Pelosi's smile as her SFGiants beat the Bush-Leaguers.

Didn't make me swoon. Did make me smile. Bash 'em all you want, but that applause was real, and yes it was nice to be reminded that we once had great men as Presidents.

" ... but that applause was real, and yes it was nice to be reminded that we once had great men as Presidents."

Is JMS suggesting that George W. and George H.W. were great Presidents? And a reminder that that applause was from the fans of the home team that couldn't hit homers and LOST despite the awesome presence of home boys 41 and 43. [Note: Add 41 + 43 and divide by 2 and you get 42, a much, much greater President.]

By the way, does JMS appreciate that taxpayers funded the Rangers' ballpark and that George W. got his stake to run for political office as a result the old fashioned way - via Daddy's friends?
