It's getting expensive:

In June, Republican candidate for governor of California, Meg Whitman, received 1.5 million votes after spending $80 million.
That's $50 a vote.

This week, Republican candidate for senator of Connecticut, Linda McMahon, received 60,000 votes after spending $22 million.
That's $360 a vote.

I'd vote for you for a lousy $20.

I'll vote for you for just Ten bucks.
The question I came to ask was, "What are the numbers for Brown, who would have been an awesome President, but then we wouldn't have gotten an awesome ex-President Carter?".
