Obama and the Democrats in Congress should get moving on Cap and Trade legislation.

Right?

They should get moving on tariffs to restore jobs, but that is a naughty word.

I think the EPA already has the authority to cap under the Clean Air Act. So, who needs trade?

Forcing a move away from fossil fuels will inevitably force a move towards a sustainable energy country which will spur job creation. Unfortnately, we are already behind the Europeans and the Chinese in this area.

Given that we no longer have any manufacturing, a trade war with China would instantly empty our retail shelves of virtually everything.

That's why there will be no tariffs.
