Because otherwise it'd be overturning decades of legislation and prior court rulings.

I'm so looking forward to some
FOREIGN corporate participation in our political process.
Everybody gets to play and pay now.
The xenophobes are going to flip when they figure this out...the wingnuts and teabaggers too.
I bet there are some Chinese government corporations eager to get in the mix.
Teh suptid and arrogant wins again.

As a strict constructionist, I say that it is a testiment to the brilliance of the Founding Fathers, that they had the foresight to protect the right to free speech for bloated, multi-national corporations.

Apparently denigrating the First Amendment is the new Democratic talking point, thus making the strategy of self-immolation the cornerstone of their November election strategy.
