What's the Glenn Beck demographic?It's got to be overwhelmingly people over 60. This
clip has him celebrating things from the 1970's.
It's as if Fox is serving up a "nice young man" for older viewers in order to reassure them that the next generation hasn't forgotten the good old days. The crying bit also seems like a hook for elder-sentimentality.
Beck's recent
outrage over somebody quoting Chairman Mao has got to be lost on anybody born after 1960. (Mao died in 1976 but was a fading figure in the years prior.)

Saw Major Garrett of Fox News at Harvard Tuesday and he said the only demographic that matters to Fox is 18 to 45. I've read one estimate that Beck's audience has increased by over 70% in the last quarter but didn't get a chance to ask Garrett about that.
