Hardly surprising. They've been doing this since Reagan. Everything good that happened on Clinton's watch was because of something St. Ronnie set into motion fifteen years earlier. Everything bad during a Republican's tenure can be traced all the way back to Carter, or even LBJ. It's ridiculous, but by no means a recent development.
