A refreshing change in right-wing rhetoric:

For most of this year, we've heard Obama (or members of his administration) called a modern-day Hitler by some right-wingers. It's a strong, punchy accusation, but gets old after a while. After all, per Godwin's Law, most everybody gets compared to Hitler in due time.

That's why it's a relief to see some right-wingers drop the Hitler nonsense. Instead, we get this:

... Janet Porter [an operative at the Take Back America Conference] compared Mark Lloyd, the chief diversity officer at the Federal Communications Commission (or "diversity czar") to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

Goebbels! Good choice.

When can we look forward to hearing about modern-day Himmlers, Heydrichs, Streichers, Höss's, et al.

When Bush left office, all the lefty ideology stores had the Hitler smears on super clearance in the discount racks.

Apparently some Rightys noticed that the smears fit Obama just as well as they fit Bush and picked up a few on sale.

Silly right-wing idiots. Liberalism is a left-wing ideology. Despite what Doughbob Loadpants tells you, Obama's not comparable to Hitler.

If you had any brains, you'd be comparing the president to Lenin, Stalin, Ho Chi Minh, Pol Pot or Castro. You'd be insane to do so, but at least you'd demonstrate a basic understanding of political ideology and world history.

The Dark Avenger is right. No one compared Bush to Hitler. No one brought guns to presidential events. No one advocated a "civilized military coup" like John Perry in the previous post. You demanded respect for the office of the president, and for the most part, you got it. Now that the president is a non-white Democrat, respect doesn't matter so much anymore, does it?

Take a look at the images. Enough to turn your stomach. Don't tell me Bush-Hitler comparisons even begin to compare. They don't.
