EARTHSHAKING: Has David Broder given up on bipartisanship? From his WaPo OpEd: (emp add) ... all recent polls show Democrats with greater credibility on health issues than Republicans, these findings suggest that it is still possible for Obama and his supporters to halt the erosion and win the battle of public opinion -- if they can get people to understand what is being proposed.
They plainly will get no help from the Republicans, who for the most part seem to be following Bill Kristol's urgings to just "kill it," or from the interest groups financing the ads that warn about "government control of your health care." Wow.

Who wrote this piece and what has he done with David Broder?
Glad to see the old geezer's starting to see the light. Better late than never.
Could just be he's off his meds this week. Next week he'll probably reverse course and excoriate the Democrats for not caving to all GOP demands.
still burns me up when i think back and recall how for the most part, with the exception of a few judges, dems gave bush nearly everything he wanted. even when bush's approval ratings took a turn for the worst.
the republican who cheated his way into office got accorded more deference than a fellow democrat who won record votes and converted republican states! what use is a mandate when it gets disregarded like this?
