Damn!

Terry McAuliffe lost the Virginia gubernatorial primary. What a shame. McAuliffe was such an appealing figure: great integrity, brilliant political strategist, humble, kept his distance from the moneyed class, nothing phony about the man.

How did he lose? There must have been some ballot box tampering. Only way to explain it.

As kos pointed out, he was very classy in defeat, calling during his concession for his supporters to send donations to Deeds. Gotta give him that!

Another crushing blow to the Republican wing of the Democratic Party. May similar blows continue to land until the Clintonistas and their DLC-ish ilk are driven completely out of Democratic politics.

@TinfoilHatBoy: True, that was a class move. The thing about McAuliffe is that when he's down, he's fairly gracious, but when he's up, he's a royal pain.
