web-ad produced by the Republican National Committee has lots of people talking. Talking about the comparison of Nancy Pelosi with the Pussy Galore character from a James Bond film. Yeah, that's sleazy.
But what disturbs is the opening sequence where Pelosi is shown at the business end of a rifled gun barrel. Which then turns to red.
"Sophisticates" know that in the Bond film this means that 007 managed to get a shot at the potential assassin. But the fact remains that the RNC put out an ad that had as one of its graphic elements, Nancy Pelosi as a target for murder.
Look for David Broder to write a fiery column this week denouncing such unpleasantness.

There's a second gunshot on the soundtrack at the mention of Pelosi's name as well. This is a vile and silly piece of work from what purports to be a political party.
Could it be that Republicans lack pussy galore, sort of a reverse penis envy? How many trophy wives has their Eye of Newt on his mantel?
The Onion today has a lead item on words KFC may not use for similar reasons.
