One of them might respond to Beck's "sinister conspiracy theories" by going Oswald on the president. The subsequent Roberts Commission would quickly whitewash the entire affair, holding right-wing nuts like Beck completely blameless.
Instead, they'd blame the mythical liberal media for failing to prevent the creation of an atmosphere of dissension and intolerance which led an angry, unstable nutbag to assassinate the president.
Never forget that Oswald killed Kennedy, Czolgosz killed McKinley, Guiteau killed Garfield and Booth killed Lincoln without benefit of a 24-hour propaganda network's endless, incessant fulminating against a popular president elected by a majority vote of the people.
