McCain in the debate: "I am Ronald Reagan"

That's the impression you get when he said this:
This really gets down to the fundamental difference in our philosophies. If you notice that in all of this proposal, Senator -- government wants -- Senator Obama wants government to do the job.

Senator Obama wants government to do the job. I want, Joe, you to do the job.

I want to leave money in your pocket. I want you to be able to choose the health care for you and your family. That's what I'm all about. And we've got too much government and too much spending and the government is -- the size of government has grown by 40 percent in the last eight years.

Joe the Plumber makes more than $250,000 a year? I wonder how his customers feel with his bills. Maybe it's time for a career change: " ... the pipes, the pipes are calling ... " Joe looks too young to have been part of Watergate.

No, Joe illustrated what Obama is trying to obscure -- if you run a small business with $250,000 in revenue, then you are one of the "rich" people that Obama wants to soak, no matter how little your actual profits are.

Gee, Anon, I thought it was income that was taxed, not revenues. If a business, whether in corporate, partnership or individual form, has, say, revenues, i.e. gross receipts, of $250,000 and legitimate expenses of $100,000, then its net income of $150,000 is taxed, or even less is taxed if loopholes can be found. And under Obama's tax proposal, that business would get a reduction in income taxes. (By the way, "actual profits" often exceed taxable profits.)

I agree, if Joe the Plummer is netting over $250,000 a year; his customers need to find a new plummer...he's soaking them.

OOPS! Joe the Plumber threw a wrench into McCaim's campaign, right into the toilet. Why he's not a licensed plumber. Maybe he's "Son of Watergate Plumbers" of Richard "I am not a plumber" Nixon shame. Looks like McCain will have to go back to Joe Sixpack whom Cindy can supply from her stash.
