This just in from Limbaugh:

Regarding today's market meltdown (and the problems with AIG, Merrill, Lehman, Washington Mutual, et al):
"The free market is not responsible for this. Capitalism is not responsible for this."

So what does Limbaugh think is responsible?

When someone like Limbaugh says "free market", they basically mean Mom, the flag, and apple pie, I guess.

He's just getting the drum beat going. Repeat a lie often enough and everyone believes it. Eventually, this will become gospel. Whether it makes sense or not.

While I watched the bubble build I always felt Greenspan kept the interest rate way too low to provide a false stimulus while useing offshore production and computer efficiency to keep inflation down.

Might have worked ifn's they had not been so damn greedy.

Apparently he's never taken an economics class and doesn't understand either what capitalism or a free market is.

Rush is a college dropout, so for his audience, that's a feature, not a bug.
