Josh Marshall is showing the kind of feistiness
that I haven't seen since he went to bat to defend Social Security in early 2005.
That's probably due to two things:
- The seriousness of the matter (Palin unqualified and right-wing, McCain in neocon land; the supine press).
- That there is a good chance the Republicans may win.
Joah has been a bit feisty, I agree. And it's warranted.
One apect you pin it to is:
"the supine press"
I'd say that the press hasn't worked up the energy to be supine in the past week. The media has been an active bovine-poop-creating and catapulting machine this month.
It's incredibly dispiriting.
Can they further trivialize the politics of a great nation? Yes, apparently they can do it effortlessly.
