Riposte:
The insinuation that John McCain, a former prisoner of war, would not know how many homes he has, is outrageous.
C'mon, Steve Schmidt, say it!

Another spokesman did:
"This is a guy who lived in one house for five and a half years -- in prison," spokesman Brian Rogers told the Washington Post.

I'm not sure what this supposed to prove? That he failed to inventory the wealth he married into? That he doesn't care enough about his wife's money to learn about what she owns? That he's only really interested in her? This is what passes for scandal among Democrats?

You'll have to try harder. The story just makes McCain look good.

I'd like to know how many people own multiple "homes" this year, that were mostly purchased as investments a few years ago. After the dot-com bubble burst, there were a lot of folks buying properties (which helped fuel the real estate bubble, I think). There may be a lot of folks out there who "own homes" the way there were a lot of "dot-com millionaires" back in the day. How many houses do these people need? They can only sleep in one bed!

Uh, perhaps that he's a wealthy, out of touch elitist?

In whose names are these home? Are they mortgaged, and if so, to what extent? Were any of the mortgages at "most favored politician" rates? McCain would not be McAble sans Cindy, his favorite (for now) Bud!

When McCain's campaign points to Obama as an out of touch elitist, there are four fingers pointing at McCain's $100M trophy wife, their nine homes, private jet, etc. If McCain's campaign did not start this elitist crap, there would be no push back from Obama's campaign.

Does Cindy have a pre-nup?

Does Cindy have a pre-nup?

I read today that Kerry would have been the first Prez with a pre-nup if he won, and that that honor will go to McCain if he wins.

Of course marrying a millionaire with a pre-nup was a character flaw for Kerry, and is a sign of rugged strength in McCain.

Assuming there is a pre-nup, this makes it important to find out how the McCains' homes are owner: by her, by him, by both, by trusts, etc? If McCain has ownership interests in any of these homes, presumably the pre-nup may not apply thereto. Of course he is much older than Cindy and perhaps she was to risk giving him ownership interest as she would most likely survive him. From the standpoint of Republicans, there is nothing wrong with being a trophy husband, a kept man.
