Obama has touched a nerve:If you listen to Christian radio, you will hear a clearly-rattled James Dobson, unprepared to engage in a "Christians differ about the Bible" discussion. For the last couple of decades, right-wing Christians have not had to bother with intra-faith debates about religion and politics. Until now.

I wasn't so sure it was good for Obama to get in a pissing match with that lunatic Dobson. But from Obama's response to this, I think he may want to tangle with the old fart:
From huffpo:
---
Obama added, "I think you'll see that he was just making stuff up, maybe for his own purposes."
-----
Obama has better instincts about this than I ever will. Plus I'd enjoy Dobson getting a little dose of sanity thrown his way.
It's also always worth remembering that Dobson doesn't have a doctorate in theology or divinity, but in Child Development.
And, Child Development expert that he is, I believe he advocates beating children and dogs.
Which, imo, is much the same violence he has visited upon the Bible.
Dobson can't bring himself to debate how "Christians differ" because anyone who doesn't belive exactly what he believes isn't a Christian in his eyes.
Don't fake christians just hate it when they have to debate someone who has actually read the Bible.
