There was a man in the last century who railed against financial-type "money grubbers" who were, in his view, responsible for the economic problems of the day. Hillary's choice of words is most unfortunate. But Clinton is trying to appeal to the Volk, so maybe that's why she said it.

Was she wearin' overalls, with a piece of hay stickin' out of her mouth? Did she say, "them thar munny-grubbin' varmints"?
I mean, hell, if she's gonna take people for slack-jawed rubes, she might as well play the part herself.
Gee, according to her tax return, she's my money-grubbing Wall Stret dwelling class-enemy.
Maybe I should watch what she does instead of listening to what she says.
