Two percent turnout:

75,000 people showed up for an Obama rally in Portland, a city in Oregon, a state with a population of 3,500,000.

Um, did they card all of 75,000 to see where they were from?

It's very manageable in Washington and Northern California to take a springtime road trip on a truely *beautiful* weekend. And since WA and CA both have already had their primary/caucus time, who knows when the next time the democrat nominee will *have* to schedule an event on a weekend in that part of the West Coast?

Things are spread out in those states, and a lot of folks around there usually have to drive 200 miles or more to see any decent concerts or festivals.
