Yeah, who needs 'em? What sense is there in a politician rallying supporters? Politicians should stay at home, in their den, quietly reading journals on social and economic issues.

Yes, by all means, let's just eschew campaign rallies and inspirational speeches altogether. Let's have more inarticulate politicians like Bush, who speaks only before closed friendly audiences (primarily military in makeup), and who can't speak more than three words at a time without pausing.
Am I the only one who has noticed that every time Hillary rails against Obama's speeches, she does so while she herself is delivering...
...a speech?
