Stroking the Id:Think Progress
reports on Ann Coulter's appearance yesterday on ABC's Good Morning America. Coulter:
"[I]f I’m gonna say anything about John Edwards in the future, I’ll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot."
Typical Coulter, pulling the extremist cord. But did you notice something odd about what she said? The keyword is "assassination". Rarely do you hear a terrorist plot characterized as one to assassinate someone. Coulter put that word in because it allowed her to say what she'd really like to say, that she wishes Edwards was assassinated. She can't say that by itself, but can try and get away with it by inserting it,
literally, into that globby entity, "a terrorist plot", which the conscious mind processes, leaving the right wing Id to thrill at the notion of assassinating Edwards (and presumably, other liberals).

Uh, shouldn't that get the secret service after her? Former senator, former VP candidate, current pres candidate, and she wishes "terrorists" would assassinate him? If anyone said that about Bush, Cheney, or even Giuliani or McCain, they'd be on an all expenses paid trip to Cuba.
Coulter keeps trying to out-troll Limbaugh and O'Reilly and she may have reached that point in the last year.
As we've said on the Internet for many years "Do not feed the energy beast."
It's very hard not to be provoked by Coulter to saying something intemperate.
I hope her suspected drug problem leads to some recovery-induced honesty and serenity. And amends.
Not that that's worked for Limbaugh.
