Is Bush finally losing it?

Has the stench of failure of the Iraq war finally reached his nostrils?

It would seem so. (And after such a very, very long wait of many of us.)

Did you hear his comments today and the note the tone?

And get a load of what he said:
I fully believe it was the right decision to remove Saddam Hussein, and I fully believe the world is better off without him.
That is the irreducable core of the whole affair. Doing better than his daddy (as Maureen Dowd might put it).

For those of us who have wanted to see Bush finally grapple with the mess he's made, this might be the time to pay attention - especially as we move closer to the November elections.

Or perhaps he's just a little preoccupied with the nuclear war Iran has scheduled for tomorrow.

Daddy bush could have taken out Saddam, but he made the informed decision that it wouldn't be worth the cost or the subsequent fallout. From what we have seen, it Looks like Daddy was right.

George W's political epitaph:

"I fully believed."

Remember the Seinfeld episode when Jerry consulted with George Costanza about beating the lie detector? George said, "Remember, Jerry, if you believe it, it's not a lie."

The more accurate political epitaph for George W might then be:

"Here lies George W, fully."
