"He urged his party to start criticizing Democratic positions on the Iraq war, immigration and the economy."
If they ever start to do that, they'll get a big boost in the polls after the attack on Iran.
DUUUDE! Back when things were going offtrack but people will still waving the flag in my face, I was going to offer the inverse flag bumpersticker via cafepress.
Never got off my ass to fulfill this, and now that I'm in the majority again I don't feel that I'm living in bizarro-world, but I'm impressed that you also saw the coolness of the inverse flag.
You mentioned the 73% number but I'm not too sure what it might mean. Christers may be dissatisfied that it isn't a fascist theocracy. yet. And the Islamers may be dissatisfied that there are still skyscrapers standing.
I think the 33-35% approval rating for Bush is more important. If it drops below that number it's Earth-shattering.
In American history there has always been a third for something, a third against, and the middle third that can go with either of the first two groups at the drop of a hat. The decision to revolt against the British followed those numbers. So to drop below a third is very significant.
