The Bush administration is trying to get people to talk about "personal accounts" instead of "private accounts". But it turns out that "private accounts" is a better description because you already have a "personal" account. Yes, it's true that they are talking about a personal record, but the essence is that it's "personal" and not "private".

Will the SSA change this web page? Perhaps call it an "individual record" so as to keep alive the "personal" terminology Bush prefers?
