I like the flag. I think the red staters would like it too. My point, maybe we should split up. The United Blue States of America may be in three big chunks but in the age of jet travel is that a real problem. We would have the big submarine bases in Connecticut and Washington and the United Red States of America may not like that. But our capital would be on their border and that makes me a bit uncomfortable. We would finally get national health care and they would finally get the theocrazy they craze (that is my point with regard to the flag.) Oh, and Ohio can lose another eight million jobs but they don't seem to mind that one bit.

We can we sign-up for the secession movement?

A good chunk of the Red States today were die hard blue states until 1964. The Civil Rights movement was the main reason for the South to switch from Blue to Red although Liberal gave-outs since the New Deal from the blue states is the only reason why many of the Red States are not bankrupt today.

It's strange to see so many people from the South harboring hatred for CA, NY, and MA, although the Financial and Technological backbone of America (mostly blue states) have helped out the Agricultural community (mostly red States) so much in the past. It's even more strange to see that a good chunk of this hatred was generated from racism dating back to the civil rights movement.

Anon2 this is Anon1:

Your right about the past, the South never recovered from losing their slave based plantation system until the New Deal. Which they would now denigrate as a federal give-away program. The South continues to get more money from Washington than it pays in taxes. Most of the taxes coming from blue states, of course.
