They don't give a damn:

Over at whitehouse.gov there is a new section devoted to President George W. Bush's Record of Achievement

We went over and took a look. There is an introduction, plus 19 chapters on topics such as Protecting the Homeland, Energy Security, Corporate Accountability Reform, etc.

We clicked on Corporate Accountability Reform and look what came up:

Note that the TITLE (highlighted in yellow) reads "Encouraging Minority Entrepreneurship"

Huh? That's also the TITLE for:
And get this, there is no chapter for Encouraging Minority Entrepreneurship. (There were a couple of other bugs as well.)

Yeah, we know this is nitpicking, but this is, after all, Bush's Record of Achievement. His resume. The capstone for four years' work. And it's a sloppy job.

I have never known anything of such scope as this administration to be so truly and literaly gut wrenching. They have belied every stand they had when they campaigned and this is their version of historical revisionism. It is almost unbelievable to realize that EVERYTHING they say that they do that is good, is a lie and that everything bad they say of others is what they are actually doing. (If I put that badly, I apologize. Either I am not good at putting things into words or what they are doing is so twisted it is hard to put into the simplest terms.)

Great to see the new comments feature!

Re: the Record O'Acheivement...I found one thing especially amusing. Under "Protecting Consumer Privacy", they tout the fabulous "No Call" registry. This is the same adminsitration that's breathing down our backs with Patriot Act and it's likely progeny, Patriot II! In one breath they reserve the right to sneak into our hard drives while we're out, and force our reading lists from the cold dead hands of librarians, then they turn around and ensure we're all safe from telemarketers!
I want to howl, but I'm choking on irony here.

What I wonder is how long it will take them to fix this. Perhaps they'll never notice. Perhaps thy'll change it ASAP.
